Victoria Angel Registry of Hope is Ontario’s only public cord blood bank. Currently almost 200 samples are HLA typed and ready for use. Victoria Angel is registered with the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA).

This non-profit organization accepts donated cord blood samples from parents.

Samples are screened according to world-wide standards. Acceptable samples are processed in an AABB-accredited cord blood laboratory at Toronto General Hospital.  All other samples are dedicated toward much-needed research projects.

All stored samples are HLA-typed and made available to transplant physicians and cancer treatment centres around the world to treat sick individuals in need.
